Sisters of the West: Oxymel
An oxymel is an ancient preparation of vinegar and honey (oxy = acid, mel = honey in Latin).
Ortiga is a Nettles oxymel. Nettles is extremely nutritive and carries the kind of iron you can actually absorb. It is alkalizing to the blood, an antihistamine (good for seasonal allergies), anti-inflammatory, a tonic for the nervous system, naturally energizing, and improves hair/skin/nails. The Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey also contribute by working on digestion, immune system, and detoxifying the blood. Take a dropperful in your first glass of water or in the evening before retiring to your bedroom. Add to sparkling water, cocktails, or squirt into your salad dressing. The possibilities are endless!
Mercurio is a Cilantro oymel intended to combat mercury toxicity. Cilantro is one of the most powerful herbs for detoxifying mercury toxicity. This elixir is a highly concentrated potion made with Cilantro, Mezcal, Lime, and Honey. As medicine, take 1 dropperful before or after eating seafood. Take a bottle with you to sushi restaurants and share with friends. As an herbal elixir you can also enjoy this tasty potion by adding 1-2 dropperfuls to sparkling water or cocktails.
Sisters of the West was founded by Renée Camila and stands for relationship: between people and plants, person and place, human beings and nature, us and the stars, and each other.
