The Vacant Seat was started in 2011 by Sara Beattie. Taking pride in sourcing responsibly mined stones and recycled silver, pieces are crafted by hand in Los Angeles. Each unique hand made piece will change and grow with the wearer.

About Sara

Born in Texas, raised in Colorado, Sara has called Los Angeles her home for over a decade. With a background in art history and printmaking, she turned to jewelry fabrication and metal casting after moving to Los Angeles. She loves chihuahuas, sad country music, herbalism, motorcycles, hot springs, mourning jewelry, meeting people who love turquoise, and appreciating all of those who come before us and paved the way.
